Preservation Faqs

DO YOU ACCEPT BOUQUETS FROM WEDDINGS YOU DON'T DO?

Yes, Absolutely. We accept bouquets from all clients. Currently we are only preserving for local Ontario clients.

DO FLOWERS CHANGE COLOUR?

Yes all the flowers will change colour. White flowers turn more cream coloured, and red flowers will become a darker red. Specifically flowers that are pressed will have more of a colour change. For example a orange and red flowers can turn into a mauve tone. Flowers may appear more faded and antique looking over time.

DO YOU OFFER COLOUR ENHANCING?

Currently we only offer colour enhancing for white pressed flowers, unless otherwise requested for such flowers as Tropical Anthurium.

BEFORE CARE FOR BOUQUET

We will email you on how to best care and package your bouquet for drop off. During the day try to keep your bouquet in water whenever you are not using it for pictures. And please bring an extra arrangement or bridesmaid bouquet for extra fresh flowers. The quality of the finish piece depends on the quality of flowers at time of drop off.

PROCESS TIMING

The process can take anywhere from 1 - 6 months depending on the busyness of the season.

DO ALL FLOWERS PRESERVE?

The simple answer to this is yes all flowers preserve however, some do not preserve as nicely as others. For example - Anthurium a tropical flower tends to go very cripsy and dark. we do not recommend these flowers. However we will accept and colour enhance for an extra fee. Most traditional wedding flowers preserve well. - We do not preserve succulents.

WILL THE BOUQUET LOOK LIKE A REPLICA?

Preservation of bouquets is a beautiful form of art. For Shadow Box preserved bouquets we choose the best quality flowers and make the shape look similar as possible to the original or what we think looks best. For Pressed bouquets, they will look different with the colours and shape of the flowers as they are all taken apart and reconstructed. The design will be discussed beforehand. (I.E. some frames you may want the blooms scattered across the frame)

CAN I SEE THE FLOWERS BEFORE THEY ARE GLUED?

Yes you can Request to Approve a mock up design before the flowers are glued.
